The Indiana AIDS Walk is an annual event to raise awareness of HIV/AIDS. This year, the AIDS Walk will be held on September 25th at the  Eugene and Marilyn Glick Indiana History Center. The AIDS Walk helps raise money for the Gregory R. Powers Direct Emergency Financial Assistance (DEFA) Fund. DEFA helps Hoosiers who are living with HIV/AIDS and who are at or below the poverty level to pay for emergency expenses that might come up. Damien Center, along with other AIDS Service Organizations in Indianapolis receive these unrestricted funds to be able to better serve those living with HIV/AIDS.
