Founded in 1982, The Greater Vancouver International Film Festival Society is a not-for-profit cultural organization that operates the internationally acclaimed Vancouver International Film Festival (VIFF) and the year-round programming of the theatres at the VIFF Centre.

Milwaukee Film

Yukon Film Society

The Yukon Film Society is a media art centre based on the traditional territories of the Ta’an Kwäch’än Council and the Kwanlin Dün First Nation in Whitehorse. Vancouver Jewish Film Festival

QUEER EXPRESSION is a hybrid fest sponsored by Open Space Arts. QE has live performances at Facts on the last Wednesday of the month, while also streaming international queer films in an innovative film fest format.

Open Space Arts also produces live theater productions, readings, and workshops.

QE features films that have been recognized in festivals worldwide and have yet to be streaming on demand.

Our contest films are submitted through FilmFreeway, and submissions are taken throughout the year, as one of our goals is to get exciting new films in front of audiences quickly. If you are a filmmaker, please submit queer films of any length through FilmFreeway.

OSA membership is $10 per month, and members see all shorts and mid-length contest films for free and get discounted tickets for features.

RiverRun International Film Festival

RiverRun International Film Festival is a non-profit, media arts organization dedicated to the role of cinema as a conduit of powerful ideas and diverse viewpoints. Our 10-day festival is one of the largest cultural events in the Piedmont Triad and North Carolina. Toronto Reel Asian International Film Festival

The Toronto Reel Asian International Film Festival® is a unique showcase of contemporary Asian cinema and work from the Asian diaspora. Vancouver Asian Film Festival

Chilliwack Independent Film Festival

The Chilliwack Independent Film Festival (CIFF) is a three day event with screenings and mixers designed to provide opportunities for both local and international filmmakers to showcase their work and build contacts for future collaborations.

Fairhope Film Festival

The Fairhope Film Festival is a film lover’s film festival held each year on the second weekend in November, offering participants the opportunity to see world-class award winning films in a unique, picturesque location over a four-day period. The focus is on national and international film festival competition finalists of the past year: the “best of the best” in cinema arts. Notable foreign and feature films, documentaries and shorts—many that never made it to the big box theaters or were only there briefly–will be selected for appreciative audiences. Although the festival will pull out all the stops, Southern-style, to host opening and closing events and parties, the emphasis will be on the art of filmmaking and the experience of seeing exceptional films. Directors, actors and screenwriters will participate in the screenings both in person and via live electronic transmission.

Images Festival

Images Festival is a platform for the exhibition and discourse of independent film and media art. Created in 1987 as an alternative to the only other Toronto film festival at the time, Images has spent the last 36 years presenting media works that are challenging in their form and content. Conch Shell International Film Fest

Conch Shell International Film Fest is an online festival that showcases the creative, bold voices of indie and student film artists of the Caribbean Diaspora and the Caribbean. Greater Phoenix Jewish Film Festival

GPJFF is a wholly independent, volunteer-run 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization. Sources of funding are ticket sales, donations, advertising and grants. In the past, we have received grants from the Jewish Federation of Greater Phoenix, City of Scottsdale, City of Chandler, West Valley Art Council and the Arizona Commission on the Arts/National Endowment for the Arts. Almost 13,000 people attended our films in 2020, a continuation of our year to year growth, and we expect to attract many more each year. Many out-of-towners who spend time in the Valley during the winter regularly attend and generously support the festival.

IFFBoston

Independent Film Festival Boston (IFFBoston) was started in 2003 to provide Boston with the type of film event it had been looking for: one that discovers emerging talent and celebrates the leading edge of cinematic story tellers. A showcase for the best films from around the world—a festival that would bring directors, actors, producers, sponsors, and attendees together in an interactive environment. There were other film festivals in Boston, but there wasn’t a mainstream independent film festival inclusive of everything that made up the film-festival experience.

Inside Out Toronto 2SLGBTQ+ Film Festival

Hawai'i Contemporary

Nantucket Film Festival

The Nantucket Film Festival was founded in 1996 by siblings Jill and Jonathan Burkhart. The Burkharts lived on the island year-round, and knew it was the perfect place to begin a festival that combined with their love of film and community. In 1997, Mystelle Brabbée joined the team and today serves as the Executive Director. NFF continues to thrive each year by always remaining true to its mission, to promote the cultural awareness and appreciation of the art of screenwriting and storytelling. New Hope Film Festival

The Festival's core mission is to discover and nurture independent filmmakers, many of whom are seeking world and U.S. debuts and remain overlooked and/or underappreciated by other forums. This broad and inclusive group includes filmmakers from outside the United States. The New Hope Film Festival operates by a strict code of fairness: Festival organizers do not invite films into the Festival, offer fee waivers, allow personal pitches from filmmakers, distributors and/or their agents, or sanction any other practices they consider preferential treatment. All films are treated equally in the process, which begins by submitting through Film Freeway. Furthermore, content produced by Festival organizers is never accepted at the Festival, even at special events. This highly prestigious arts organization is especially renowned for the quality of its lineup.

Planet In Focus

Now in our 24th year, Planet in Focus is an environmental media arts organization with year-round programming. Our mandate is to produce cultural events that showcase engaging and artistic films that question, explore and tell stories about the world in which we live. Polish Film Festival in America

The PFFA is the most extensive annual showcase of Polish cinema outside of Poland. Hailed by the New York Times as one of the best programs promoting European film in the States, called a “Chicago Success Story’ by the Chicago Tribune and ranked as the best foreign film festival in Chicago by New City Magazine, the PFFA remains one of the largest and oldest film events in the Midwest.

ReelAbilities Film Festival Toronto

Presented by the Wagner Green Centre for Access & Inclusion at the Miles Nadal JCC in Toronto, the ReelAbilities Film Festival Toronto is dedicated to showcasing the work and stories of Deaf and/or disabled communities and filmmakers from around the world.

SEA-Nordic Film Festival

The National Nordic Museum is proud to present the 2023 SEA Nordic Film Festival. For a decade, the National Nordic Museum has offered a film festival to Seattle audiences as an avenue to experience Nordic cinema in all its forms. Seattle Jewish Film Festival

Bahamas International Film Festival

The Bahamas International Film Festival is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing the local Bahamian community and international visitors with a diverse presentation of films from around the world. In addition to offering films that might not otherwise be released theatrically in the Bahamas, BIFF provides unique cultural experiences, educational programs, and forums for exploring the past, present, and future of cinema.

Blood In The Snow Film Festival

The Blood in the Snow Film Festival is a unique and imaginative showcase of contemporary Canadian horror, genre and underground cinema that exists to challenge social boundaries, explore artistic taboos and support and exhibit independent Canadian genre media artists. BITS takes place in Toronto, Ontario and brings together audiences, media coverage, community partnerships and the filmmaking industry to exhibit and celebrate Canadian genre film. BITS began in 2012 and was registered as a not-for-profit in 2015.

Chagrin Documentary Film Festival

Triad Jewish Film Festival

The annual Triad Jewish Film Festival (TJFF) presents the best and brightest cinematic moments from Israeli and Jewish cinema, and affords movie-goers the opportunity to see Jewish films that are not readily available in theaters. Vancouver Queer Film Festival

The Vancouver Queer Festival is a vibrant space for queer arts, culture, and community. Each year, the Festival showcases dynamic and thought-provoking films from British Columbian filmmakers as well as other Canadian and international directors and storytellers.

Offshore Art & Film Festival

Offshore Art & Film Festival is located in Montauk, New York. Through both cinema and art, we aim to add an important voice for environmental progress and ocean sustainability by raising awareness through environmentally focused programming. Our first festival was in 2014, was 5-days long and screened 35 films, we now produce 4 festivals, with 85 days of programming, and over 300 new and independent LGBTQ+ films from around the world.

All this success has been accomplished by an all-volunteer production team, who have embraced qFLIX’s mission as their own.

As a mission driven family of LGBTQ+ film festivals, we believe that our stories are the soul of our community and are best expressed in the arts. As such, these stories must be shared far and wide. Our stories gathered from around the world, educate, empower, entertain, and inspire a people to move further towards equality, and into a world that is not simply diverse and inclusive, but one that creates a sense of belonging for all LGBTQ+ people.

St. John's International Women's Film Festival

The 33rd annual St. John's International Women's Film Festival takes place from October 19 - 23, 2022 both online and in St. John's, Newfoundland. Tickets will go on sale on September 20th.

Our mission is to increase the awareness of women’s contributions to the film, television and interactive industries, and to provide integral services to these local industries. This includes training young and emerging filmmakers, as well as providing professional development opportunities to our more senior filmmakers, producers and creators. We aim to entertain audiences with a wide variety of engaging, thought-provoking, multi-genre films from here and from around the world, and to showcase St. John’s and the province of Newfoundland and Labrador on an international stage.

Tacoma Sister Cities International Film Festival

The Tacoma Sister Cities International Film Festival is celebrating its 20th Anniversary! For 2022 we will feature films from 8 of our TSC countries, including Norway, Mexico, Croatia, Korea, Cuba, Morocco, Japan, and Taiwan. Our committees are excited to bring you a lineup that includes films both old and new—all critical favorites spanning the past 20 years and showcasing the filmmaking of our sister city countries. Each film showing will feature a cultural demonstration by the presenting committee. Kicking things off on Opening Night will be a special panel of notable Pacific Northwest filmmakers and advocates to speak about filmmaking on the Tacoma side of our Sister City relationships.

A prestigious panel representing Pacific Northwest filmmaking and the creative economy will kick off our 20^th Anniversary with a look at the current state of the art, community, profession, and industry of film here in Tacoma and the PNW. This panel will include Amy Lillard, Executive Director of Washington Filmworks; Ben Andrews, Actor, Director, Producer, and founder of the Seattle Film Summit; Jorge Enrique González Pacheco, Award-winning Poet, Film Industry Professional and founder of the Seattle Latino Film Festival; and Carlos A. Ortiz, Social Entrepreneur, Community Leader, Filmmaker and Chief Storyteller with Zeta-Maya Entertainment.

The Actors Studio

The Actors Studio is both a place and a philosophy. It is an association of artists who, drawing from this common wellspring, have made enormous contributions to American art.
