Back to Berlin

In this first biker-flick-meets-Holocaust documentary, 11 riders are on a mission: to take the Maccabiah torch from Israel to the site of the infamous 1936 Berlin Olympics, for the first Jewish Olympic Games on German soil. Seven are descendants of Holocaust survivors, two are actual survivors, and two are grandsons of original Maccabiah Riders who set out from Palestine to all corners of Europe in 1931 to search for athletes for the first Maccabi Games. Each destination on their 3,500-mile journey holds a chilling resonance for the riders as they discover and share how their families perished, managed to survive, or would face the growing anti-Semitism in Europe today.
