In the 1980’s, a group of visionaries combined two seemingly opposing forces: television and reading. What resulted was “Reading Rainbow.” Over three decades, host LeVar Burton introduced the love of reading to children all over the country. But behind the catchy theme song, there was a battle to fight for the funding of educational programming in a rapidly changing world. This film is uplifting and moving.
