Earthrise // My Indiana Muse

All good things must come to an end. Join us as we recognize the 2019 Storyteller Award Winners, and close the 6th annual Destiny City Film Festival with two outstanding nostalgic films. EARTHRISE (30 min) Earthrise tells the story of the first image captured of the Earth from space in 1968. Told solely by the Apollo 8 astronauts, the film recounts their experiences and memories and explores the beauty, awe, and grandeur of the Earth against the blackness of space. Told 50 years later, Earthrise compels us to remember this shift and to reflect on the Earth as a shared home. www.earthrisefilm.com/ MY INDIANA MUSE (44 min) Through an unconventional sequence of events, artist Robert Townsend discovers his kodachrome muse and embarks on an ambitious and emotional project that will take more than a decade to complete. www.serenacreative.com/myindianamuse/
