This workshop will begin at 4pm PST on Saturday, March 6th. Reserve your ticket now - space is limited! Loglines are essential in crystallizing any story idea, but writing an effective one can be difficult. However, like most things - practice makes perfect. In this workshop, we'll get to the nitty-gritty of how to make your logline irresistible to your intended audience. In partnership with the Northwest Screenwriters Guild, the workshop will consist of 40 minutes of instruction by writers Kate Wharton and Heather Hughes, 20 minutes of attendee logline building and 15 minutes of questions. Attendees are welcome to bring a logline, but it is not required. // ABOUT THE INSTRUCTORS: Kate Wharton and Heather Hughes have been writing together for over 12 years and have worked with Disney, Hallmark, and Lifetime, as well as many indie filmmakers. Between them they are recipients of two Hedgebrook residencies, were finalists for the Austin Film Festival, Sundance Lab, Nashville Film Festival, Slamdance, the Beverly Hills Film Festival and many more. They are both graduates of TheFilmSchool in Seattle and studied with the late, great Blake Snyder. They are represented by The Nethercott Agency in Los Angeles. // The Northwest Screenwriters Guild is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to advancing the careers of screenwriters, filling a major gap in the education and training available to screenwriters and filmmakers from across the spectrum, namely, how to take care of the business side of show business.
