Join the Future of Film Showcase as we kick off the 2025 Festival, fostering the future of emerging Canadian filmmakers. We're proud to present our 2025 Official Selection of narrative, nonfiction and experimental short films. Come celebrate short films created by Canadian emerging filmmakers across Canada. A full list of the 2025 Shorts Programme can be found at fofs.ca. A Q&A discussion will follow the screenings at the Paradise Theatre in Toronto. This event will have ASL Interpretation and open captioning.

We present an annual showcase of Canadian short films, as well as year-round professional development events. FOFS provides emerging filmmakers with a platform that celebrates their art alongside an audience as unique as they are. We believe in fostering the future of Canadian film and making it a more accessible experience for all.
