Lalias (Rod Harrison and Ross Hamlin) found form in the early stages of 2021 and combines intense oratory incantations with ambient layerings of music, discarded answering machine tapes, lap steel, found sounds, upright bass, electronics, prepared guitars, electric cornet, field recordings and more.  The spoken word component of past performances and recordings have featured psychiatric questionnaires, overheard conversations, obscure film and pop culture bric-a-brac, underscored by almost every genre of music imaginable.Since forming they’ve performed locally at Teatro Paraguas, Jean Cocteau Cinema, Ghost, Paradiso, San Miguel Chapel, Second Street Rufina and others.
