Celebrate Pride Month at the Kan-Kan with our Out at the Movies film series! This year we reached out to our friends around Indy and are showcasing films that were pivotal in awakening their queer identities. Each film will be introduced by the guest curator and a portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will go to LGBTQIA+ supporting organizations of their choice.

Sylvia Thomas is a Queer and Transgender artist from Indianapolis. She has performed spoken word poetry and music locally and internationally as a headliner at World Pride 2021 in Copenhagen, DK. Along with her performance art, for the past 5 years, she is the Education and Outreach Manager at Step-Up Inc. providing education, HIV/STI/Hep C testing, and harm reduction supplies. The portion of proceeds for these tickets will go towards her team’s work at Step-Up Inc.
