Chreece is more than a music festival—it’s a cultural movement.

Rooted in the heart of Indianapolis, Chreece is the intersection where community and artist meet. It’s a platform dedicated to celebrating and elevating independent hip-hop while creating space for connection, collaboration, and creative expression. Since 2015, Chreece has been building something deeper than a festival—it’s been building a scene.

Chreece, to host the highly anticipated Independent Chreece Hip-Hop music festival, is set to make its triumphant return to the vibrant city of Indianapolis on Saturday, August 23rd, 2025. Taking place in the heart of the Fountain Square neighborhood, this year Chreece will celebrate its 10 year anniversary since the first production in 2015, featuring an incredible lineup of national acts, talented local artists, and a diverse range of venues.

This year's lineup boasts an impressive roster of national acts who will bring an electrifying energy to Chreece’s stages. Among the headliners are:

    • Smino: Music runs through his veins; it’s genetically embedded. Smino’s grandfather, father, and mother were musicians, and the rapper and singer began playing drums in his native St. Louis at an early age. After a brief stint at Columbia College and a move back to his hometown, he returned to Chicago where he connected with Classick Studios and released his first two EPs, S!ck S!ck S!ck and blkjptr. In 2017, he dropped blkswn, which Rolling Stone hailed as one of the 40 best rap albums of the year.
    • MAVI: While MAVI is widely-praised for his mindful rhymes and evocative instrumentals, the Charlotte-born wordsmith is also a multi-faceted renaissance man whose expertise extends far beyond the mic.In 2019, he released his critically-acclaimed debut album Let The Sun Talk, a quilt of generational tales, tightly woven flows, and awe-inspiring rhymes. 2022 saw him return with his critically-acclaimed sophomore album Laughing so Hard, it Hurts, which was lauded by the likes of Pitchfork, NPR, and The New York Times, who hailed it as one of the Best Albums of 2022.
    • Audrey Nuna: Audrey Nuna is a Korean-American singer, rapper, and songwriter known for her genre-blending sound that fuses R&B, hip-hop, pop, and experimental trap. Raised in New Jersey, she began her music career by uploading covers online before signing with Arista Records in 2019. Her debut album, a liquid breakfast (2021), showcased her distinctive style and led to performances at major festivals like Lollapalooza and Head in the Clouds. In 2024, she released her sophomore album, Trench, further establishing her as a dynamic and innovative force in contemporary music.

Chreece is an Independent Hip-Hop festival that celebrates the vibrant culture and diverse artistry of the genre. Held in the Fountain Square neighborhood of Indianapolis, the festival showcases both national and local talent.
