  • Join us to celebrate and fundraise for the work of ILS’ LGBT Law Project. The LGBT Project is the only legal program in Indiana dedicated to representing LGBTQ+ Hoosiers.

Since its founding in 2016, the LGBT Project has been responsible for all of the state-court litigation on behalf of LGBTQ+ Hoosiers. In the last 4 years, the project has litigated eight name and gender marker change appeals and won a trial court case where the BMV was ordered to resume issuing IDs with nonbinary gender markers.

In addition to creating broad-based legal change, the LGBT Project provides free legal advice, information, and representation to LGBT individuals throughout Indiana in name and gender marker changes, insurance coverage of gender-affirming treatment and services, and bullying, education and youth issues.

This event highlights the meaningful work ILS does on behalf of LGBT Hoosiers and feature sponsors who celebrate the joy, beauty, and resilience of the LGBTQ+ community.
