  • Hedwig and the Angry Inch is a campy musical romp of self-discovery and queer gender bending. Through storytelling and song, screenwriter and star John Cameron Mitchell tells the tale of Hedwig’s journey from communist Germany to a search for fame, fortune, and love in America.

*This event is part of the Butler Race, Gender and Sexuality Studies program/KanKan partnership, funded by a Butler University Diversity Equity and Inclusion Innovation Grant. Visual narratives can play a vital role in dismantling hierarchies of privilege and oppression, and in cultivating anti-racist and feminist ways of being in the world. Through this collaboration Butler students will attend screenings of films and other events alongside community members in celebration of the social justice theme of the series.
