There will be an intro and post-film discussion with Coye Lloyd.
Coye is currently attending IUI for a PhD in American Studies with an emphasis in film. Generally her scholarship revolves around race, gender, sexuality and questions about high vs low culture/genres. As a millennial/80s baby, her tastes have been formed by hours of unsupervised television and teenage horror serials. Long live the 80s and long live Brad Dourif’s as our evergreen creepy killer dude!
Plot: A dying serial killer transfers his consciousness into a popular kids doll using voodoo. A struggling single mother gifts her six-year-old son the much sought-after doll for his birthday, and the doll slowly begins to show its true colors.
