A/V CLUB THEATER SPECIAL: 'LADY FRANKENSTEIN (1971)' W/DYLAN ROAHRIG

Baron Frankenstein's noble graverobbing work is cut short along with his life when his creation hugs him a little too hard. Don't worry, though! His daughter Tania is there to carry on his scientific breakthroughs and take autoerotic asphyxiation to the next level. This 1971 Italian/American joint goes places most monster movies would never dare. Probably because they know better. This movie features Mickey Hargatay (The former Mr. Jayne Mansfield and father of Marishka.) in one of his final film roles; Rosalba Neri who plays the title role with poise, sex appeal, and just the right amount of Dungeon Mistress energy; Riccardo Pizzuti (Veteran of many of the Django movies, among others.) who plays the creature with a Charlie Brown sized head. There will be a short discussion after the movie where we will speculate on what Joseph Cotten did with his money that resulted in him being in this film.
