More Than Corn, presented by Partners IN Food and Farming, started as a docuseries shining a spotlight on the Hoosier farmers who dedicate their time and talent to growing healthy, delicious food for us to enjoy right here in Indiana. Specifically, the first story features Genesis and Eli of Full Hand Farm, along with appearances from Kan-Kan Cinema & Brasserie, 9th Street Bistro, Turchetti's Delicatessen and more. The project, produced by local documentary production company, 12 Stars Media, was among the first original content for the launch of Hoodox, Indiana's very own streaming service for non-fiction movies and shows. Now, two years later, More Than Corn is one of the most watched titles on Hoodox, it’s been an official selection at both Heartland Film Festival and Indy Film Fest, and production of a second round of stories for the series began in 2022.
Indiana & Farming are practically synonymous, yet 90% of the food Indiana residents eat is sourced from outside our state. We can do better. This is more than a documentary project - it’s a movement that we’re excited and honored to be a part of. We hope you’ll join us!
This special event is presented in association with Indiana Humanities, as a part of Unearthed, their thematic initiative that encourages Hoosiers to discover and discuss their relationships with the natural world.
