Honoring our military during the 80th anniversary of World War 2 European Liberation, Old Heart tells the story of Army Veteran Tom Johnson (Gaines) who is determined to return to the Netherlands 60 years after the war to reconnect with the love of his life, Jewish translator Sarah van Praag. Johnson’s children are in hot pursuit of their dad after he fails to show up on schedule for assisted living in Detroit and disappears on a flight to Amsterdam. A tribute to elder independence, Old Heart features 25 midwestern actors and Dutch costar Eva Doueiri in her screen/English language debut. This film is only playing in theaters (oldheartmovie.com).
