A/V CLUB THEATER SPECIAL: 'TAKE IT OUT IN TRADE (1970)' W/DYLAN ROAHRIG

An affluent couple’s daughter has R-U-N-N-O-F-T and they hire a detective to find her. This late career Ed Wood softcore offering features all the staples of his many films from stock footage to reused sets to a cross-dressing Ed chewing the scenery. Littered with cult movie icons like Duke Moore (Plan 9 from Outer Space, Night of the Ghouls, The Sinister Urge), Monica Gayle (Switchblade Sisters, The Stewardesses, Pinocchio [1971]), Phyllis Stengel (Wild Honey, Henry’s Night In, Miss Nymphet’s Zap-in), and Donna Young (Dirty Doctor Deviate, Wild Honey, Ilsa: She Wolf of the SS), this movie is a time capsule of weirdness that could only come from the mind of Ed Wood.
