What Children Do

Amy is an actress in LA, desperately trying to maintain the illusion of success. Her younger sister Shannon lives a stiflingly quiet life as a small town librarian where she co-habitates with her boyfriend Pat, a lovable goof who's constantly cobbling together homespun workout routines. After not speaking to each other for three years, the two sisters return to their hometown in upstate New York to take care of their dying grandmother. While back at home they encounter old flames, over zealous pastors, and overdue DVDs while attempting to repair their feral relationship and come to terms with the town they grew up in. USA, 2016

Two girls imagine their way to Kolle 37, a real adventure playground in Berlin, recently called "the mother of all Berlin playgrounds" by The New York Times. Kolle 37 enables children to build and climb three-story wooden structures, make fire, and use hammers, saws and axes. Founded in 1990, Kolle 37 invites young people ages six through sixteen, without their parents, to embrace risky play in the "adventure playground" under the loose supervision of playworkers.
