Set against the backdrop of the post-industrial American Dream in the heart of the Midwest, this film offers a poignant slice of life, unfolding over a single day. When America’s beloved televised antiques appraisal show rolls into Cleveland, transformative events are set into motion as the individual journeys of five disparate souls unexpectedly converge. In their directorial debut, Marisa Guterman and Keith Gerchak expertly bring the warmth of the heartland to the big screen in a delightful blend of quirky charm and whimsical spirit.
The Nantucket Film Festival was founded in 1996 by siblings Jill and Jonathan Burkhart. The Burkharts lived on the island year-round, and knew it was the perfect place to begin a festival that combined with their love of film and community. In 1997, Mystelle Brabbée joined the team and today serves as the Executive Director. NFF continues to thrive each year by always remaining true to its mission, to promote the cultural awareness and appreciation of the art of screenwriting and storytelling.
