Join us for the Opening Night Film of the 24th edition of VLAFF, followed by the OPENING PARTY at the Village Studios on Davie Street. Directed by Daniel Hendler, this comedy-thriller follows Santiago, an Argentine police constable on the run, who crosses over the border into Uruguay. With neither money nor a place to stay, but with kindness and wit, he starts to carve out a new life for himself, receiving help from a curious cast of local characters who cross his path.
