The Last American Colony

Puerto Rico is one of the last of America’s colonies and is often forgotten. THE LAST AMERICAN COLONY explores the history of Puerto Ricans struggling to retain their cultural identity and regain control of the island’s destiny. Told through the eyes of Juan Segarra, a Harvard educated man, the film is a thought-provoking and uplifting exploration of Puerto Rico''s independence movement. Puerto Rico, USA • 2019
