When 28-year-old Rhonda (Erica Pappas) is offered a job teaching chess to children of wealthy parents in the Hamptons, she jumps at the chance for a summer getaway. As she makes new friends and soaks up not only the sun but also the deep creative roots of the region, she questions her life choices, her relationship back in the city, and her future as an artist. Writer/director/actor Jake Silbermann draws on his own memories as a Hamptons chess instructor to craft this honest, buoyant debut feature, which serves as a love letter to the ever-changing East End and to the many talented artists who keep its historic creative community alive.
