Academy Award®-nominated Tunisian director Kaouther Ben Hania (FOUR DAUGHTERS, HIFF 2023) returns with a docu-drama based on the true story of Hind Rajab, a 6-year-old Palestinian girl trapped in a car in war-torn Gaza, pleading for rescue from the Palestine Red Crescent Society. As the team of volunteers comfort the terrified child on the line, they rush to assemble a safe plan to reach her by ambulance. With her signature approach blending fiction and documentary, Ben Hania incorporates the real audio recording of Hind’s voice with a fictional reenactment of the volunteers’ efforts, highlighting the impossible choices faced by those living through war. Winner of the Silver Lion Grand Jury prize at the Venice International Film Festival. A Willa Release.
