We are pleased to announce that the annual ASF Gala, this year celebrating the 25th Anniversary of Scandinavia House, will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at The Plaza Hotel in New York. This festive evening marks the continued vitality of ASF as the pre-eminent cultural and educational link between the United States and the five Nordic countries and the Silver Anniversary of our permanent home. Since opening in October 2000, Scandinavia House: The Nordic Center in America has welcomed more than 3 million visitors attending over 3,000 programs, which is a source of great pride for our Trustees and friends. Over the years, we have hosted many of our Patrons; remarkable stars of film and literature; important artists and cultural figures; Nobel prize winners; and some of the most accomplished scholars of the past quarter decade. This Gala will be a chance to celebrate the past, honor the present moment, and embrace the future of Scandinavia House. Monika Heimbold will serve as Honorary Chair. Gala Co-Chairs are Lizanne Kindler for Denmark, Jarno Vanto for Finland, Sigríður Benediktsdóttir for Iceland, Kristina Kittilsen for Norway, and Maria Ederer for Sweden. Honoree list is in formation.
