Beginners Knitting with Hilary Snell

5pm-7pm on either May 12th or May 19th. Everyone is now recognizing the long-term benefits of knitting! Once you know the basics, knitting creates what’s called a flow state that’s like meditation. In knitting there are only two stitches and by combining those stitches, you can create hundreds of designs and patterns. Join us to learn the knitting basics. In this class you’ll learn how to cast on, knit and purl. Once you learn these skills and with lots of practice, you can make whatever you want. This is a class is for those who have never knit before or beginners who would like to practice their stitches. We provide a safe and friendly atmosphere to learn a new life-long skill. Knitting uses both sides of the brain so it’s a healthy way to focus while stretching your brain muscles. Bring size 9 US straight needles and some worsted weight yarn and we’ll get started!
