DRAWING FROM ART: Sweden

Learn about Nordic art in this hands-on, in-person drawing course pairing brief informal lectures on celebrated Nordic artists with guided transcription and drawing exercises. Each 2.5-hour session will begin with a 30-minute artist overview, followed by demonstrations and 1.5 hours of drawing directly from works using graphite, charcoal, ink, or colored pencils. This workshop will deepen participants' familiarity with key Scandinavian artists and art movements from 5 countries. Weekly classes can be taken individually or as a complete group to study historic and contemporary Scandinavian approaches to line, tone, composition, and texture. This workshop is part of a 6 part series. You can choose between single tickets or a ticket bundle. All materials are provided. No prior experience is required. (18+)
